I think you will find Old Trafford sells out every match.

That's because they probably sell 5k to travel firms/corporate/middle men who sell on to tourists from UK & around the world. Not all the 5K will be snapped up (the middle men take the hit 'cos their profit margin is so high) so bit like Amex - sold out but empty seats.
