Nothing really wrong with what Adkins is saying.. Saints have the strongest squad in this division on paper, they should be expecting to finish first. We're not there yet..
I really dislike Southampton, but to be fair, their fans are no worse than some of ours in the knowing nothing about football and being hideously arrogant stakes.

On another note, their thing seems to be referring to Bournemouth as "The Cherries (silly name)" hilarious.

Not a surprise, any manager in the top 5 now would still be saying they can win it. It's just expected. If Adkin's told the fans they had no chance they would lynch him.

On a larger scale, whenever a World Cup comes around its traditional for about 16 of the national managers to bullishly suggest they can win it, if they didn't they would be sacked pretty quickly.

Let's be honest, almost all of the people that comment on local newspaper articles are idiot trolls anyway so they don't count. The poll represents a larger number of fans than the comments so it's a better representation.
