Harsh.

I am sticking with Adams and blame the players. It has been a monumental dissapointment so far and Wilkins is not looking so useless now I would admit. I just hope it comes good in the end. Adams has 2 seasons at least. This year is written off. The season is over. Piss Pot trophy ?. Who gives a shit ?. I certainly don't the competition is a joke, Sherpa Van Trophy, I would not even go to Wembley as its totally and utterly pointless. Its the football equivalent of the 25 metere breast stroke cerificate at School.

We will not go down I am sure and hope next season we will be challenging for the play offs.

Loving Micky's offering in the paper this morning

“It was a killer blow at the weekend, going down to fifth-bottom. That makes this group of players a poor group – which I can’t believe – and me a poor manager. "

Maybe now the players are embarrassed at how badly they are performing, and looking at the table will make them at least try and work hard for their money.

They are not a terrible bunch of players, it is a decent squad, one that should at least be 10 points better off, but in reality, we are where we are because we deserve to be. The fans know it, now its up to the players!!

I would imagine Dick is feeling a little embarrassed at the way things are turning out.

We have to make up 14 points, not get 14 points. Tough tough ask, thats why The Johnstone Paint Trophy is now such a huge cup for us, will take off some of the rubbish the league season has thrown up

Completely disagree. The St Johnstone's Piss Pot is a massive irrelevance and if anything the prospect of a game at Wembley is likely to make the club take their eye off the ball re the only thing that matters on the field at the moment - the league position. Every game played in that wretched competition increases the risk of injury within the squad, and about the only thing it would be good for is rewarding the fans with a Big Day Out by way of apology for some pretty insulting performances this season. IMHO, like.

Its an evens chance we will lose to Oldham, MK Dons and Tranmere so we will be firmly in the bottom 4 by Xmas. The only consolation is 3 of the bottom 4 look out of their depth so its a scrap for 1 place from half a dozen teams to go down with them and Brighton are in that group.

Adams said at the start of the season we need to win our home games and said Wilkins 12 wins at home last season was not good enough. Oops.

I agree the piss pot is an embarrassment. I hope we lose at Shrewsbury.

that was what I was trying to get at, but you worded it much better.

I think if we do win, seeing the team walking up the famous steps and lifting a trophy will defelct away from the shit served up so far in the league.

But then again, it could all turn around and we make a charge for promotion.

But does anyone actually care about lifting a meaningless cup ?.

The club seem to be specialising in embarrassing quotes this season, there's that, there's "I honestly didn't reaise we had to be 7th in November", and a few others from Adams, plus Dick's whole cringeworthy Argus interview. If it wasn't so shit I would laugh.

the JPT might not be a huge trophy but the prize money is 250K (which we could definately use) and TV Income and money for getting to the final also helps. Its not a big trophy, maybe shouldnt be taken seriously, but who wouldn't want to see wembley, eat overpriced hot dogs and maybe have the ability to splash out on another player or two?
