what does this add to atmosphere? especially when the atmosphere created is the same no matter what in the game is happening. it is killing the game, and making for an awful spectacle.

So how many Kuda horns do you think it would have taken to meet the demand for this world cup if they had to use the traditional materials, Other things are now made out of plastic instead of the original materials used so does that mean they are no longer traditional because of this?

More likely they are too used to sitting in silence at Withdean and have forgotten what its like to watch a game with noise and an atmosphere.

i dont think thats anything to do with it, they are being universally dismissed. they add zero atmosphere as there are a continuous tone for 90 minutes. Goal? vvvvvvvvvvvvv. dodgy tackle? vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv. team needs a lift? vvvvvvvvvvvvvv. the main solution is to mute the TV, but that doesnt really work either if not watching 100% (ie at home busying around).

like them or not, its obvious they have been the main talking point so far, so have detracted from the football.

I think the real problem is the sheer amount of threads about how annoying they are... I, for one, don't mind that you hate them. I like them, but we're all different.

I just wonder whether is is time for the threads to be merged.

With regards to the vuvezelas being the main talking point, I think that is more a sign of bad football rather than anything else.
