Theatres in Brighton

Looking for a theatre for a film location and need it to be a bit shabby/run down with a raised stage. I only know a couple of theatres in Brighton but they aren't really suitable. If anyone knows of one that fits the description?

The one in the back of the Phoenix Gallery was always quite shabby, can't remember its name. Or how about the Freebutt or Komedia?

-Upstairs in the prince albert pub near brighton train station?
-The nightingale (above grand central pub, also near brighton train station)
-The marlborough (Marlborough Pub and Theatre - Live Music Venue in Brighton, Brighton and Hove - VisitBrighton)
-The basement (The Basement - Event Venue in Brighton, Brighton and Hove - VisitBrighton might need to make your own stage)

What about looking at schools, colleges or universities with drama departments?

Thanks people, certainly a few there to go and view. The Marlborough could be interesting, last time I saw it was quites run down but still a bit of old world glamour there but was under the impression it may have been refurbed. Cheers. Oh, and thanks for the link Acker.

The hippodrome in middle st has been boarded up for ages , bet its right shabby in there !

The Hippodrome must be the only Theater left in Brighton with a proper stage that isn't being used as a stage,( if the stage is still there.)

Ha, no not directing it. But the director doesn't know Brighton that well and asked me to find a few locations. I think I have a fair bit to go with, or at least to view so many thanks.
