I find old people are generally more ANNOYING on the road than outright dangerous.

Its the 18 year old SPACKOS in their Vauxhall Novas with full body kit, tinted windows, exhausts the size of Wiltshire, go-faster stripes, backward baseball caps and sound systems that take up the entire boot that are by FAR the more dangerous. They're reckless and drive aggressively because they are desperately trying to impress people.

They don't have the experience, skill or intelligence to handle a vehicle properly.

Foreign lorry drivers.

Are, in my experience, the right answers.

Serious / fatal collisions on A and B roads invariably involve exactly the demographic identified by Easy 10 (plus a tree or perhaps a road sign - usually denoting a sharp bend in the road); whilst serious / fatal collisions on the M11 / M25 invaribly involve the group highlighted by Dougdeep.

I've lost count of the number of 17 -21 year old dead lads we've cut out of wrecks. But so far as I can recall, I've only ever cut one dead OAP from a car, and he only crashed because he'd had a fatal heart attack whilst driving.

I must admit bus drivers CAN be arseholes. Pull out without looking as if it is thier RIGHT to be able to pull away without checking for other road users. Then they go and blurt out crap from the highway code. bla bla bla:rolleyes:

There is a strange phenomenon where anyone who gets behind the wheel of a Transit van or similar turns into a complete f*ckwit.
Oh, and foreign lorry drivers:wanker:

Yes, many bus drivers are made of vaginal discharge, I find.

I nearly had the side of my car taken off by one the other week when a bus driver came BLASTING along a road that only really has room for one vehicle to pass because of the parked cars along one side. All the cars were parked on HIS side of the road, I was already on my way through (what with it being my right of way and all), but no, mister Brighton & Hove waits for NO-ONE, hence a jam on the breaks and an INCHING along with wheels scraping the kerb, and my right wing mirror up some old dears nose who was sitting on the bus downstairs.

Utter, utter tosspots.

It's not an age or gender thing at, I would say. Many of you will probably hate what I am about to say, but the standard of driving is a regional thing. I was born in Brighton, and spent much of my childhood in Sussex (hence my support for the Albion), but for most of my adult life I've lived in Liverpool, Edinburgh and now Gloucester - and I have to sat that the nearer to London and the South East you get, the worse the standard of driving becomes.
There is also a local blip of bad driving in the Birmingham area (in my student hitch-hiking days, if I got a lift with a driver with a Brummie accent I'd always get out of the car at the first possible opportunity) - but for bad driving overall, London and the South East takes the biscuit.

I've gone for old men but, being more specific, I would say old men with old women in the back, preferably more than 1, on a sunday.

The worst combination of all is being sandwiched between one of the above and an impatient tailgating white transit driver behind on a single carraigeway.

The Olds are annoying, however If I was randomly selected to be knocked over by a driver of my choice I assure you it would be the old lady everytime!

I think that everybody who gets banned for whatever reason should have to take a retest before getting their licence back and also I am approaching 70 when my licence expires but I think that when that happens people should have to take a FREE retest.

The most inconsiderate drivers on the roads are those driving Group One vehicles with foreign drivers leading, the most annoying are old people especially old women who in general are scared of the power of their modern car. The most accident prone are the young White Van Drivers racing to meet a schedule of deliveries. The most likely to drink and drive are the 45 - 60, as " I have always done and it doesnt affect me I can still drive with a couple of beers inside me" syndrome.

How soon is now?
Bus drivers
Scaffolding van/lorry drivers
Old men(old ladies drive slowly but do seem to have an awareness about them)
Chavs

I was knocked off my pushbike this week by a girl on a twist and go scooter, there's no way she should have been on the road. the CBT is the law, but its not stringent enough to allow somebody on to the road on a machine(no matter how small) with an engine
