Has to be Tenselead or Sami... I've opted for the latter, because the resources at his disposal are way, way better than Hinch's. Sami is just simply ****ing clueless.
As I was appalled that the club should ever employ him, I will admit to an utterly biased view of Coppell's time at Brighton, and so ignored context. I didn't re-write history though; he was applauded onto the pitch by the home fans, we did lose 5-0. I was an eye witness. We did get relegated and he did leave for a team in a better position.
I thought this thread was asking for personal views. Mine is that appointing Coppell was the equivalent of Labour appointing Margaret Thatcher because she had shown she could win elections. (In Blair, some say they did.) Its a visceral gut reaction and I know that it will be seen by many as over the top prejudice, but it is how I feel. I am not asking anyone to agree with me.
