Lush is just wrong, I actually take a more circuitous route top avoid it or hold my breath from well in advance to avoid the smell.

Thankfully I didn't come accross any live skunks when I was living in the states. But I drove past a few dead ones, and you were stuck with the smell in the car for the next 5-10 minutes. God it was awful

The worst smell ever for me was left overs from a backstreet Chinese fish restaurant in Beijing, being thrown out and landing on the bottom of my trousers. I changed shoes, socks and trousers and numerous showers and still could shift the smell for 2 days. Eu d'Skanky Slapper, and the little Chinese man who threw the fecking stuff at me, started shouting at me after he had done it....
