Bloom is usually in the WSOP as far as i know so should be this year.
Don't hold much hope for him though with a highest finish of 512th. I might be mistaken though.
I play a lot of poker but lose a ton on the internet. I have to use SkyPoker you see because i can't stand using Dollars. The standard is so poor it's untrue, a lot of fish and a lot of bad beats. Must've lost a good £400 over the last few months on it.
Much prefer to play live, that's where the buzz is.

:lolol: hopefully he is a bit busy at the moment.
The Sit n Go's on SkyPoker are sooo easy it's untrue. I tend to get bored with them and waste my money on those massive tournaments though.
Occasionally pop down the casino in Reading, but i'd much rather take a load of money of my mates and have a laugh while i'm at it :smokin:
You a cash player or tourno's/sit n go's?

I'm in the same boat with being a skint student
Rebuys are awful anyway i can't see the point of 'em.
I've got this theory that SkyPoker is fixed, and my mates only back me up on it when they've been losing, but some of the bad beats i've had on there are just untrue.
Ahh that's the game i suppose.
Am a freeze out man myself when it comes to the Casino's. I've never gotten used to playing cash just because when it's actual money it seems as if the loss is more real when it happens :/

f*** me that is a bad beat
The PC would be smashed to pieces if that happened to me!
I'm still waiting for my monster payout from Sky Poker so i can actually compete with these old businessmen type people with stupid amounts of money.
I think they owe me one to be fair..
Definitely more skill in freeze outs, cash is a completely different kettle of fish.

I play on Party Poker and 888, specialising in double-or-nothing $10 sit & gos (I'm playing one on 888 right now). I make a fairly easy but low profit by playing a tight game, I've never needed to fund other than my first deposit. Those games take too long to ever make decent money. Table fee is 10% or 8%, so I need to win in at least 60% of the games I enter. Lunchtime GMT can be a good time to play when lots of Aussies come online (late evening there) who must be either pissed or tired because they are easy to beat.

After reading this thread I might give Sky a go. You always see bad beats, they're part of the game, expect to get them occasionally and don't let them affect the way you play.

Do indeed ignore the gibberish about fixes and give it a go. There are a few very good players on Sky but some really awful ones as well. The downside with Sky is the short blind levels on most of their tournies - normally 7 mins. I play The Open once or twice a week and you have to be prepared for a crap shoot at the end. When I was heads up the other week after a 700 player tournie, I was chip leader with just over 10BB. But if you play the maths and accept the beats you can turn an easy profit. I'm £600 up over 2 years just playing 6-700 player MTTs for a bit of fun. I can't seem to sit at an online tournie for hours on end so I like the quick pace of the Sky Open. £11 buys you a bit of fun and a chance at £1500. That has still eluded me after a 2nd place and 6th place but my day will come.

Used to be one of the better players at University, and my biggest win is about £1000.

I play NL Hold em and PL Omaha usually most ive won is 550$ but have cashed around the 100-400$ mark quite a few times, always miss out in the big wins tho :( 512th or whatever isnt terrible for the WSOP main event where theres usually 6500+ and top 600-700 usually get 14000$ for 3 solid days play!!! Maybe next year ...

Interesting reading fellas...I play PartyPoker, PokerStars and Full Tilt. I think I might have to sign up to SkyPoker having read this.
One of my ambitions is to play in the NL Hold em $10k WSOP. One day maybe if I fluke a satellite...

I have found that sky is a lot better than the likes of PartyPoker etc and the fact you can play in the browser and that it's in Dollars make it a lot easier
Also, the Sit n Go's are second to none, and you can watch the awesome SkyPoker channel in the background.

A lot of the play however, is very very poor. Get a lot of drunken idiots that get lucky on there
