Speaking to a Palace supporting friend who was excited about the appointment I said Holloway looked a perfect fit for Palace.

I did not realise how true my words might turn out to be.

His post match interviews are becoming ever more beligerant. His awkward silences and incredulous non-sequiturs following a perfectly reasonable question are becoming ever more pronounced. And his HILARIOUS bon mots appear to be deserting him.

In short, he is a man wandering slowly and surely towards an inevitable precipice.

Always felt that Holloway was more ' surface than substance ' Joining that illustrious group of managers, who include in their numbers, the likes of Phil Brown, Steve Cotterill and Steve Evans etc who delight in talking the talk but never quite walk the walk.

He's great when things are going well. Looks almost painfully lost now he's expected to be a football manager rather than a cabaret act.

He got Blackpool up and very nearly survived on the last day of the season and didn't exactly have the biggest budget in the world...
