On a more pleasant subject of wildlife walks, have you visited here yet? If we lived in NE Kent, we definitely would have.

I did a volunteer day there a while back (painting and gardening). It’s a well run place that is involved in a lot of wildlife programmes, so the public side of it seems like a side show. That said, they appear to be putting a lot of effort into improving that side of things and I enjoyed the walk round at the end of our day, particularly the rescued bears.
The pizzas in the cafe were awesome, too.
