My pie was cold....and still no brown sauce!

I used to go for sauce or mustard on a pie but of late I've come round to the opinion that it smothers the taste. If you think your pie is a bit dry then just make sure you have a pint with it. Job done.

Here a pie is always accompanied with tomato ketchup, it's law.
I much prefer no sauce at all and the gravy in the pie should do the job.
I prefer to keep the pie flavour and not disguise it, though I do get some strange looks.
