When this case first came to light, I must admit I had a degree of sympathy for her. He was on the verge of becoming bankrupt and I can imagine that people do become very desperate in such situations. However what is pissing me off is that this woman is doing everything and anything she can do avoid shouldering any form of responsibility for the crime.

As if it wasn't bad enough keeping up a 5 year pretence to her sons that their father had died when she admits she knew that he was alive, she had now been quoted saying "I don't love him anymore and wish he really was dead".

Sorry love. You're partly reponsible for this, you went along with the idea, you LIED to your own sons for FIVE years about his death. That sort of shit doesn't wash.

He admited it, she has not.

It is the same offence so while he would have had his reduced for admiting it, she will get the full sentance.

The ONLY way to sort out cases like this is to lock every member of the family up. That way society will be sure that the guilty person has been punished.

It is surprising that this approach has not been taken before.

If you suspect someone be it a family member, a member of an ethnic or religious group - lock all of them up immediately and the case will be closed.

Every single aspect of this case is both ludicrous and pathetic. The entire family should be terminated with extreme prejudice, to ensure the survival of a smarter human race. Even the Mirror's 'World Exclusive' came about because a random Mirror reader put canoe man and woman's name into Google Image and up they popped, bold as brass, on a Panama property website, complete with neat little timestamp in the bottom right hand corner.
