Not helped by the M6 being shut between J16 and J14 meaning a detour through Stafford.

Oh, and the Junction of M40/M25 being closed to westbound traffic meaning another small detour

02:50 back at Lewes and that was after taking a detour past Stoke and Derby along the A50 to get to the M1 because the M6 was closed north of Brum.

Vast tracts of the motorways were reduced to 1 lane with no obvious reason for it.

Silly old bat
03.50 drop off at Withdean, thanks to the M6 southbound closed between jcts 14 and 12, resulting in a magical mystery tour around Staffordshire.
Also, the slip road from the M40 onto the anti-clockwise M25 was closed, so the coach had to head up to junction 17, and double back.
Indoors at 04.18.

The dull part of the south coast
About half an hour ago! Mind you, did stay in Manchester overnight, leisurely breakfast at the ‘Spoons pub in Piccadilly Gardens, then watched a fight between two beggars/homeless/street drinkers/dossers (delete where applicable) over a begging pitch. Then caught the 10.35 Virgin train southbound.
