You'd never get a thread like this on the BBS because there's never been anything to congratulate you for. When was the last time Brighton were succeeding in a division higher than Palace? :cute:

Wahey! The old not being ashamed of cheating bit. Knew this would come out sooner or later. Well done.

1981-2 I would guess. You can't count getting relegated the following season and being mullered 4-0 in a Cup replay by a MU side which was way off what we faced under Fergie in 1990 exactly a successful season. Though here they sem to want to remember it all the time.

You can't blame the current board, manager, fans or players for mistakes made by the previous owner. Palace are now a very well run club and every season spent in the Premier league will improve the infrastructure and change the clubs fortunes for good.

I fear Palace may be there for some time with Pullis in charge.

He seemed to keep an average Stoke team mid table for many years

However rumour has it that he's off at the end of the season with Newcastle being touted as a strong possibility. With him Palace achieved a respectable position, without him they will crumble

Do all you Palace fans remember telling us Brighton fans that the second season syndrome was about to hit us?

Get ready to demonstrate what we avoided.

They'll start bleating about 4th season syndrome soon.

That won't work either - we've already sold 22,000 season tickets for next (the fourth) season.

Fifth season syndrome, anyone?

Now that's not fair mentioning our 22k season ticket sales, because if they had a ground that held as many as ours can, with their huge loyal fan base they would far exceed that in the Premiership. But because they have such a limited capacity they have sold all of 14k for next season. But their chairman is hoping to reach 15k!!

Considering almost everyone on NSC said that Palace had the worst squad to ever grace the Premier League, and that we would finish bottom of the league with less points than Derby's record, I don't think you're in a position to gloat.

The fact is that we're lightyears ahead of you now, and the only way you can catch up is by being promoted and establishing yourself as a top flight club. Considering your team is the biggest bunch of bottlers I've ever seen I doubt you'll be able to do it.

I'm amazed you kids want to keep trying to insult Palace fans but as it is, just for you. We've secured our second season in the premiership 3 games from the end and have two players who got into the premiership team of the season. We've seen some decent football under Pulis, we also beat Chelsea. We got to the premiership in the first place at the expense of your bottlejob outfit who seem likely to miss out on the playoffs this year having told everyone you were going to walk the league this year now we weren't in it. Now remind me, the amazing Will Buckley who's off to a top 4 team for £20m whens that going to happen? Cos I know you guys knew he was oh so better than Wilf and yet we got £10m+ for him when according to you guys he wasn't even going to go for £3m. So with all the mouth you guys just love to give out do you not yet realise that every time you do it we just go on to bigger and better things whilst you guys can go ahead and continue to play the 'we have 28,000 fans (all of whom walk out on the 80th minute but nevermind)' card.

What a load of old tosh! If Palace offered free train travel with the same radius don't you think we'd sell out as well!
Or perhaps it's because you're the only club within a massive catchment area? No thought not, perhaps its all the premier league supporting floaters that's boosted you from 6k at the Withdean to the current att average
Take away the free travel and you'd be 10-15k
My mate said V Blackpool there was never 27k so do Brighton still inc all the non shows in their Att figure ???:rave:

Considering that your Premiership crowds are largely made up of Arsenal/Spurs/Chelsea/Man Utd and Liverpool fans wanting to see their heroes in action.

As you are from LA, I will give you a bit of grace with my comments back.

Do you really think we would reduce our attendance by over 10-15k if we stopped subsidised travel ?, then you are seriously deluded.
Your catchment area is bigger than ours, fact and confirmed by your chairmen, then one with the funny hair
Agree, about 25-26k in for the Blackpool games as we quote tickets sold, so do you, so what is your point

Apart from that, good post.....
