Do you think Kev checked the fixtures coming up before he was appointed. Really shocking run, no east games so far, and played all of the top five. Wait till Fulham at home, then King Kev will use his magic!

To be fair to Keegan, much as the Newcastle situation has long since turned into a complete circus, you are right (although there's a hint of sarcasm at the end. He has only played 2 teams in the bottom half of the table and not lost to either of them, 1 of them being his first match in charge. I don't think they'll go down (would be funny if they did), but to be honest I think they'd be a lot higher in the table than they are now if Allardyce was still in charge.

Crikey. Just seen Newcastles remaining fixtures.

Birmingham away
Fulham home
Spurs away
Reading home
Pompey away
Sunderland home
West Ham away
Chelsea home
Everton away

If their current form doesn't dramtatically improve I can only see them getting points in the 3 home games against Fulhum, Reading and Sunderlnd. Will that be enough? Bloody hope not!

Sadly, I think that Fulhams form and being six point behind third-bottom means that there is realistically only one relegation place left up for grabs. With so many sides down there, it's unlikely that Newcastle will go down. But I'd like it if they did.

Can see them possibly losing all (or they wont win any) their remaining away games. Sunderland are crap away but will be up for it being a derby game, Reading are back winning, Fulham home should be a banker but Fulham won there 4-1 a couple of seasons ago.

I don't think they'll go down.
Think Keegan is building for next season. Now it is just surviving.

Their next three home games will shape their season, Im would expect seven points from those games and I think they'll stay up comfortably enough with Keegan resigning once he's saved them from relegation.
