After the debacle two seasons ago when the Selhurst pitch resembled a chunky knit throw on a parquet floor, we had one installed - the technology involved is astonishing. The finished product is a thing of beauty to marvel at 19+ times a season.

Lovely ground, one of my favourites. Yesterday was a proper day out at the football. And there was beer in the lower tier!

Not perfect though. The lack of beer upstairs is weird, the whole empty upper stand opposite us also shows they've deliberately curtailed away numbers (apparently Martin O'Neill to blame for that) and the stewarding presence from way before kick off was totally OTT. It seems like they do the opposite of the Albion where we do our best to be civil to our visitors - yet we have by far the better home record.

Did you notice that at half time they only watered the end we were defending. Unless the other half got watered when I went for a weeeeee. And showing highlights they only showed the Villa attacks

You missed it when they put in the divot in front of Stockdale.
