I'm hoping that if I ever have to come face to face with a mugger if I tip my forehead down one inch, my assailant will collapse to the floor while I make my escape.

I could not believe that the totally biased commentary team & studio guests backed up the refs decision.
It is true that the player put his head towards the spurs player but to collapse like he had been shot was a disgrace.

Would he have fallen like a sack of shit if spurs were winning (I think not)

We'll to be fair it's no worse than Spanish Dave last season against Newcastle, Ameobi caught him, Dave went down like a sack of spuds, did untold rolls, stopped looked at ther ref and carried on rolling to get Ameobi sent off. Players will use every trick in the book to win a game.

And Dawson screaming like a Banshee straight after was equally as pathetic.

The Dnipro gave the ref a chance to send him off by his reaction to JV's nudges - he was a bit nieve and paid the price.

Sadly, since there have been more skillful players playing in this country, the rules have changed soo much to protect them from injury (because fans want to see that skill being used) that it has encouraged cheating and diving because the rules are so against having any physical element to the game any more. Of course you don't want to see the skillful players kicked out of a game but equally you want to see them use that skilll rather than throw themselves to the ground every time someone gets close enough to tackle them - it's spoilt the game to an extent for me.

Vertonghen is a total moron, grown man going down clutching his face rolling about because of that? Pathetic.

Soldado's snidey elbow as well was quite something, yet he won't be punished.

Isn't the law striking or attempting to strike an opposition player?

So it's a red, soft and jan went down like he had been shot, but it was a red.

I don't know, these players need to man up. When I was at primary school there was a somewhat tubby lad who made up for his lack of football skills by giving any tackler a short arm jab in the guts on the blindside of the dopey teacher reffing the game. You went down then for real.

Why do these incidents carry on occurring. Not because the likes of Andy Townsend and other wanky pundits say the usual "well there is definitely a forward movement of the head" or for a penalty, " oh yes there was definitely slight contact " but because the football authorities at home and abroad are gutless. Are they scared of the clubs? That is a point to discuss.

If they maned up Veg they wouldn't get the opposition player sent off would they ?
