The report says 22 Division I college football players have died since the year 2000 from exertion-related illnesses suffered during a workout or practice, according to an analysis by the Howard Center for Investigative Journalism at the University of Maryland.

That just makes this even more alarming then.

Aren't all the reports shown on that video of people suddenly collapsing and suffering cardiac arrests (and the links I've put up) coming from mainstream media reporting?
By "actual data", I mean something we can compare. The allegation in that video was that there are more than 60 cardiac arrests in footballers now than there were pre-covid. If that is true, then we don't need evidence just about the number of cardiac arrests now; we also need evidence of what the number was before.

That video was clearly an anti-vaccine video, which I realise does not necessarily mean it is false; but I do know that a lot of false claims have been made on the internet, and when a claim is made from an obviously biased source which does not show evidence for its claims, I am suspicious. If the evidence is there, I will believe it.

Did you see how many athletes have been collapsing and having cardiac arrests in that video I put up? If not go to the 2mins 2 secs mark of the video and watch from there. None of the reporting was from a conspiracy news source. There was no narrator. It was just reports from news sites reporting on these sad deaths all happening very close to each other. None of the reports are claiming anything in regards to vaccines or a sudden rise in heart attacks on young athletes. The news links I posted 10 days ago were mainly American footballers and all of them had the same story of someone suddenly collapsing and having a cardiac arrest whilst or after engaging in some sort of sport.
It's definitely a concern of mine. Of course there maybe cases where the athlete may have already been dealing with heart conditions before the vaccine rollout (I think Dwanema is in that video) but I don't understand the need to just ignore this, laugh at it, ridicule the possibility when there are genuinely people dying in high numbers whilst participating in sport at the moment. When has this ever happened before is the big question?

Stats, numbers, dots and lines make no difference to this. It's happening and even the mainstream news are reporting on these deaths. Why try to disprove it? Why not question why they're dying and why so many all at once, rather than if they're dying? I really hope it's got nothing to do with the vaccine, but if it does, then hopefully we can save lives in the future. Sorry this somehow comes across as an agenda. I just don't want to see anymore people dying like this.

I don't get you. Why try to disprove it? Well, the obvious reason is that it might not be true. Don't look at is an attempt to disprove, look at it as an attempt to find the truth. I'm not ridiculing, I'm not ignoring. Do you even know what ignoring means? How can I be ignoring it when I am asking questions?

You have asked the exact question I am asking. When has this ever happened before? Obviously it has happened since forever - but in what numbers? That is the question. How many people are dying now compared with how many people used to die while playing sport. I don't know the answers, and neither (I presume) do you. But we do want to look at the vaccine as a possible cause, then we first need to find evidence that there is an effect. Are people suffering cardiac arrests, as in the video you posted, more than 60 times more often than they used to? Well, until we know how many they used to, we can't tell.

That's the point.

Here's a study that you will be interested in. It shows from various sources that sudden death happens to about 1.5 to 1.8 out of every 100,000 athletes, per year. This was in 2014, long before coronavirus.

So for example, we would expect (based on half a million US college students) that about 8 of them would die each year. Or on a smaller scale, of the 92 league clubs in this country with perhaps 40 players per club on average, one player would die suddenly every 15 years or so.

It has been posited that such cases are increasing by a factor of 60+. If that is correct, we can expect about 500 college students to die in sporting action next year, and about 4 footballers attached to a professional club. If that sort of effect happens, it will be noticed by more reliable sources than an Australian anti-vaxxer.

im not a fan of these vids to be honest ...having said that i know 6 people who have died after getting the AZ jab ...all in their late 60's , relatively fit , no medical issues.......i had the 2nd pfizer jab last Friday and still have a shitty headache....not a fan , far from convinced....now been told we cant travel without a booster..ffs..

I didn't feel right for a couple of weeks after my 2nd Pfizer. On the 2nd night I was awake from 1am to 4am with heart palpitations and cold sweats. It's pretty potent stuff.

I'm not getting a booster any time soon, as far as I'm concerned I'm covered from risk of serious illness so why risk it any further.

What might not be true? All those athletes dying/collapsing of cardiac arrests all within months of each other?

You have asked the exact question I am asking. When has this ever happened before? Obviously it has happened since forever - but in what numbers?

Unless we've been collecting data on this sort of stuff forever, how on earth can I or anyone answer your question? Can't you just accept this isn't normal that non-stop reports of athletes collapsing and suffering cardiac arrests keep coming in. Surely this isn't something we've seen before? and if not, then can you tell me any other year in your life when there were this many reports all happening in close time proximity of each other? If so, please show us the reports.

That is the question. How many people are dying now compared with how many people used to die while playing sport. I don't know the answers, and neither (I presume) do you. Ignore the '60 times more bit' which was reported by some foreign news site. Now try to focus on all these deaths and cardiac arrests happening to athletes whilst they're engaged in sport being heavily reported at the moment, which is shown on that video (2min 2 sec). It's worrying, much more than just that 6000% stat one foreign news station reported. (Sorry for posting it)

In a FIFA 4-year study, 617 players were reported a dying during football-related activity - matches or training. That's about 3 per week. I did not see them reported, just as you didn't, but if you put them all onto a horror video you would no doubt have been scared then.

https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/early/...ndmd&int_medium=cpc&int_campaign=usage-042019

Here's a UK study. This refers to 118 sportspeople in the UK who died between 1996 and 2008. One a month, roughly. And these aren't all the ones who died, just the ones whose hearts were sent for analysis to the National Heart and Lung Institute.

https://heart.bmj.com/content/95/17/1409

These deaths that are worrying you, almost certainly are not a sudden increase in what was already a known phenomenon. I strongly suspect these people could have put together an equally frightening list two years ago with a different set of unfortunate victims.

A true story. Many years ago, in New York, there was a crime wave. The newspapers were full of it, the people were scared, sales of guns and burglar alarms rocketed. People had never read so many reports of crime. But that's all it was - reports. Crime hadn't increased. What had happened was that two reporters had a bet as to who could get more crime reports into the papers, with the result that the apparent crime as per what people had read, was going up; actually, it wasn't. The people who made that video IMO are doing something similar. They don't like vaccinations, so they publish a list of sportspeople who have died and imply that it's a new thing. It isn't. You just haven't seen a report of numerous deaths strung together like that, before. It happened, but no-one had an interesting in reporting it that way.

So our media could be playing mind games on us with the larger than normal amounts of these reports coming in lately? These sudden deaths/cardiac arrests that athletes have recently been experiencing, which are coming in their droves, is actually just all fabrication to make us panic about something that is just another normal day? Amazing how the narrative of media lies and manipulation swings depending on what we want to believe. Okay I respect your perspective and views. Let's hope that's true. I personally am going to keep my guard and see if these reports keep happening and hopefully this will stop.

Fingers crossed the media will find something else to make us panic about.....

I see this unsubstantiated shit all the time on Facebook and Twitter and like you never get proper answers to questions.

Are you even trying to understand? I am not saying that footballers are not dying during matches. You have got so far down your hobby horse of "footballers are dying and they never did before" that you can't even bring yourself to read, or at least to understand, anything else.

FACT - According to FIFA, between 2014 and 2018, footballers were dying at the rate of about 3 per week. FACT.

My belief is that that number hasn't increased and footballers are still dying at the rate of about 3 per week, and the vaccine has made no difference. I may be right or wrong, but I haven'tr seen any competent authority to say otherwise. But that is my belief - that footballers used to die in action, and they still do.

Your belief? I'm not sure. If you believe that footballers didn't used to die, or hardly ever, and now they have started dying, then you are flat out wrong. If you believe that footballers used to die at the rate of 3 per week and that number has vastly increased, then you may be right or you may be wrong - time will tell - but the facts will certainly come out soon if you are right.

No one has accused you of that? the stats you have put up cover a whole year. These reports of athletes from all different sports collapsing and having heart problems are from the last 6 months (I think the video reports was the last 4 months)

All of cardiac arrests I'm assuming?

This was to do with large reports of young, healthy athletes collapsing with heart attacks as all the reports show. These reports of cardiac arrests on young athletes that keep coming in during a period where vaccines have been getting almost forced onto everyone (look at the NHS mandate) is the concern. Your stats above are based on athletes just dying and not specifically with heart conditions.

Stop posting crap then or back it up with some proper scientific evidence! :p

So mainstream news (what I've posted) is crap? If so, agreed. I just used those links and reports so no one could question the messenger in avoiding the reports and stories, like so many do if it's not mainstream reported.

Had no idea everyone was into alternative news now. Silly me :p

Again, it's easy to find anecdotal "evidence" to fit your agenda - here's one saying that people were concerned about footballers suffering heart attacks - pre Covid!

https://www.roydswithyking.com/study-footballers-suffering-heart-problems-time-more-screening/

For whatever reason people like to collect these stories together to "prove" something and if repeated oft' enough, becomes gospel truth.

Dig a bit deeper, find some more "evidence" then people might believe - or maybe not!

The UK report was 95% cardiac arrests.

Were they all playing sport at the time? Did they all happen within weeks of each other? How many were professional? What was the average age?
If you aren't interested in the report, don't read it. If you are interested, then read it and stop asking stupid questions. All those answers are in the one-paragraph summary.
