Suggestions the population will have to be vaccinated bi-annually to keep a control on this virus
suggestions from who, a credible source or irrational imaginations?

Suggestions the population will have to be vaccinated bi-annually to keep a control on this virus as it is likely as the virus mutates and continues to thrive even once the adult population has been vaccinated it will still be a big threat particularly over winters hence the suggestion some controls will need to be in place at least next winter and maybe permanently to ease pressure on NHS and prevent as many deaths as possible.

Hancock said as much today, would probably be consolidated with the flu vaccine.
In a sense, it does.suppose it depends if you are one of those few thousand. Crikey!
In a sense, it does.
So let's put some figures down. There are about 300,000 people over 80 in this country and each year about 300,000 of them die. If we carry on with restrictions like say lockdown tier 2, ie. no attendance at sport, amateur sport ends, no holidays, no meetings or visits or going to see more than one grandparent, then we could reduce that figure of 300,000 to 295,000. Because that's the number of people of that age who die before their time of flu, each year.
If it turns out that by continuing coronavirus restrictions we could prevent about 5,000 coronavirus deaths per year, thus reducing the national death rate by a little less than 1%, would you do it? Because I am not aware that there has been any desire to do that for flu.

There are 3m over 80s approx, not 300k (suspect just a typo).
So sorry, I'll try and be as empathetic and kind and polite as you ib future. You are talking complete and utter bollocks, go away and re read what you have put. Put your Wurzel Gummidge empathy head on then come back and apologise for being a tit...
Thanks, yes. 3m over 80's, 10% approx die each year. Obviously, sadly, a higher proportion in 2020.There are 3m over 80s approx, not 300k (suspect just a typo).
I note the Scottish Health minister said she thinks the current lockdown will need to go on for 3 months, so until mid April before we go back to a toughened up tier system and that many lockdown measures would need to be continued over the summer to keep case rates low before the inevitable increase in Autumn and to avoid the catastrophe we had last year and into this year.

She also said it would be catastrophic for the economy and mental health.
She did but what alternative is there??
Daily Mail headline today...Care Homes: We've Been Betrayed Over Jabs....only 1 in 10 vulnerable residents given vaccine.
Oh dear.
They have been betrayed since day 1 and we are still seeing majority of cases/deaths from CH
I'm struggling with it to be honest. The disdain we've shown for the vulnerable, for 'people with existing health conditions'.
When I think about the clamour to save Christmas etc I struggle not to cry.
We, and by that I mean all of us, have let people down, and we'll look back at this in years to come with disbelief at our selfishness and arrogance.
