I think every team needs mesut Ozil... Apart from Madrid, Barca and Bayern...

Not when you need a Gaolkeeper, Centre Half, quality Defensive Midielder and another top striker first.

Who said they signed Ozil over any of those other positions? Wenger wants value for money and no doubt he couldn't get it in the defence and striker positions... He signed a new GK and also signed flamini to cover defensive midfield who did pretty well against spurs...

New GK, new/old DM and new attacking option... For Arsenal, that's huge progress!

So, there you have it.

Baines stayed but Felleini went. Imposters disrupt the Herrara deal.
Palace sign around 15 or 16 in one window
QPR get Krancjar, Carroll and Assou-Ekotto(!!!!)
Everton sign Mccarthy, Lukaku and Barry (brilliant business)
West Brom get in Anichebe and Sessagnon (again, seems very good)
And Arsenal sign Ozil for £40m+.

Without turning this into the Daily Arsenal, that is a monumental signing.
Top assist maker across Europe in the last 5 years.
Joint top assist maker during his time in spain. Joint with Messi.
On a FIVE YEAR deal. That's the real bonus there. He is there long enough for Arsenal to use him to attract other players of similar ilk. Perhaps too soon for him to personally bring the team up a level, but he will be the poster boy for Arsenals next recruitment drive, surely.

Spurs made a profit, as did Newcastle (who spent nothing).
The morning sees Newcastle fans going MENTAL at Joe "I can open doors, me" Kinnear. All rather amusing.

QPR made better signings than pretty much all of the Premier League
