According to Leonard Susskind (Physicist who disproved Hawking-no mean feat) Black Holes are objects that transfer information from a 2-D to 3-Dimensional reality, therefore the possibility exists that the Universe could be Holographic. There is actually an experiment to test this theory called the Holometer. This explains why the opposition are often playing flat; especially when Bridcutt, Buckley, Kazenga, Spanish Dave et al are playing.

nothing. since by definition "universe" means everything in existance, there is no beyond. its just an unknown part of the universe.

...not to to mention infinite Brighton & Hove Shalbions, Brighton & Hove Shalvions, Brighton City Albions, Brigton & Have Alboon, etc.

which illustrates why the multiverse hypothesis is bonkers and should be rejected or at least refined.

Another theory gaining ground is that it is an illusion due to 'Gravitational lensing' - a sort of multitude of mirrors, consequently most of the Universe which we are looking at does not really exist.

Sort of like extended version of NSC.

If the universe is expanding, what is it expanding into ?

Expanding into nothing. This is a tricky concept for people as they don't (or can't) think of nothing as literally/absolute nothing, they think of it as "something" that it has to expand "into".
