the theory is that if you throw a bottle of Water/Piss/Fosters with a lid on, simple physics ( Newtons 2nd law) means that the vessel and its load will be propelled forward in the form of a missile. If you take the top off this invokes Newtons 1st law in which the vessel will move but progressively leave it's contents behind.. efffectively not disimilar to a North Korean "satellite" launch in asmuch as the launch fizzles out.

That wasn't really my point. If you're going to implement a rule where the caterer has to take away the lids, at least keep it uniform throughout the whole stadium. Not much point in taking caps away from one stall, and not from the other.

Quite obviously someone has made mistake. With all the excitement about the new attraction on the running track it's understandable.

It has lovely painted wheels in the front, did anyone else catch them ?

Indeed.

I ALWAYS buy a bottle of pop at one of the main South Stand booths. And they have NEVER removed the lid.

Well I posted a question on Ask The Club. It really is the most childish of rulings that I thought that was well buried in the past.

My elderly diabetic father was once banned from bringing his own drink into the game once, thank god those days are gone.

Now we are moving in to " Chaos Theory" territory :lolol:

I never even saw it. Perhaps I was engrossed by the excitement.

This nearly happened to Russ at Hartlepool earlier this season when a steward said the lids on our small bottles of Pepsi had to be taken off due to ground regulations , which was backed up by a senior steward who didn't seem to understand the Disability Discrimination Act. As a compromise we were told we could leave the bottles at the snack bar and pick them up after the game but the original steward used his commonsense and told us just to leave them concealed in the rucksack and at half time be discrete when taking one out to drink. I can see the other point of view that a bottle of pop could be used as a missile and thrown at the dugout or on the pitch with the lid on but this labels everyone as a mindless moron.

SO WHERE WAS THE THREAD ABOUT MK DONS CHARGINGING A POUND THEN FOR A MARS BAR?

why do we have so called fan s on here who do nothing but continually run down and find fault with everything the club does, THATS NOT SUPPORT, may i suggest you try getting a season ticket for the away section next season, you'll be far happier with the other fans that want the Albion to lose the match.

But they only charged us a tenner to get in! the mars bars were a subtle ploy to recoup their losses on the gate and it seems worked until you counted your change :lolol:

your kidding right, so are you seriously saying that they only put up their prices for their food and drink just for our game as they made it cheaper to get in? - they charge that price whatever the entrance cost is.

What about the losses that we make while at Withdean, shouldn't we try to get that back whatever way we can?

No, it's just a sad reflection that we have some so called fans with nothing better to do than find fault with everything the club does, regardless of what happens elsewhere and at other clubs.

0h - and the real prices charged in supermarkets are 59p a bar and £1.63 for a 5 pack not the 38rrp and £1 for a 5 pack stated ealier used to try to find fault with what the club does. - it's not that big a mark up is it given the limited opportunity to turn the stock over?

I always take a bottle in, with a lid... Tend to take several spare lids to away matches. Have to admit I nearly got refused entry to millwall after arguing with a steward about A bottle lid!!!
