The thread title was 'The Tories hits new lows with the Windrush situation', whichever Mod thought it was a funny thing to joke about please explain what the joke is so the rest of us can have a good guffaw about it too

I’m not sure what’s funnier the thread change or you pretending to be irritated by it!

Have you thought about volunteer work to keep you busy rather than posting what other people are saying on twitter and boring the majority of people on here with it?

It is sad that this great BHA football Forum (NSC) is gradually changing to be the personal soap box for Ernest.

I'm not sure that's relevant. The bit on PMQ will be what makes the news and will fix in people's minds. Any subsequent correctlon is just so much chaff.

Who was it said that a lie can get halfway around the world before truth gets its boots on?

Mark Twain?

It is sad when people cannot debate a very serious subject affecting thousands of lives without being personal. I don't agree with Ernest's politics but in regard to this issue, I am with him 100%

No you weren't. You stated specifically that you expected that Mental Lental wouldn't get citizenship.

Non sequiturs are logical fallacies. Can't you count?

No I said he would be lucky to get citizenship as they dont dish them out like confetti like the UK, again you twist words.

And a logical fallacy is a flaw in logic that renders an arguement void. wereas, non sequitur: an inference that does not follow from the premises;

So from saying getting citizenship was hard which was the premise you infered that I said he wouldn't.

Talking of logical fallacies. It's true to suggest that all new citizens must be immigrants but it's certainly not true to say that all immigrants are citizens - that's logically invalid, not a correlation. It's the same for the UK - all new citizens are (probably) immigrants (although we've seen that rich Russians can by-pass this) but it's certainly not the case that all immigrants are citizens - which is what GB was accurately pointing out.

(I've had 20 years on NSC and this is the first time that my university subject has been relevant)

I was pointing out to Guinness Idiot that the hurdles you face are more than he suggested, wether you are criminally insane is a whole different thread(and a poll).

Might this be an ad hominem attack on Guinness Boy? I managed to find in one of your last few posts.

Pedantry. The word is pedantry.

I'm loving this thread - trying to guess what people I have blocked have posted based only on various other sensible people's incredulous, withering or facetious replies (sometimes all three at once). Let me guess: pederasty? No, I don't actually want to know! :lolol:

Thats a non-sequetour, the error is in the latter part when it doesn't follow on, a logical fallacy has a logical error in the first part which leads to the second part not being right. These are not the same things.

Is this my 5th correction of your posts today?
