So so easy to run country when in opposition. The reality is very wealthy pay large amounts of tax In fact I think 50% of total tax revenues is obtained from just 10% of tax payers. Like it or not this section will have to be looked after or Corbyn will find individuals and companies will go abroad

I more meant, that traditionally political parties don't seem that interested in winning the hearts and minds of the electorate and Corbyn is the exception to this.

As elections in recent times are mainly won in the centre-right/left ground I would say you are completely wrong. Blair reached out to Tory voters hence the cries of betrayal from those further left. Cameron finally managed to win a Tory majority by reaching out beyond the tory base. Corbyn is a far left idealogue who piles up votes amongst his fellow travellers but has little appeal to more centrist voters which is why he can't breakthrough despite the obvious inadequacies and failings of the current government.

Broadly I agree. The one caveat to this is that there are PLENTY of pro-EU voters who'd run into the arms of Labour and put up with unworkable socialism for 5 years if he nailed his colours to the anti-Brexit mast. Obviously he doesn't do that for fear of upsetting the trade barrier, restricted movement-happy Marxists in his ranks.

The one caveat to this is that there are PLENTY of pro-EU voters who'd run into the arms of Labour and put up with unworkable socialism for 5 years if he nailed his colours to the anti-Brexit mast. Obviously he doesn't do that for fear of upsetting the trade barrier, restricted movement-happy Marxists in his ranks.

The Brexit factor is problematic. Labour did well in the Remain cities in the local elections but failed to make progress in more pro Brexit working-class heartlands. Also, we should remember Corbyn is as much a eurosceptic as the likes of JRM although for very different reasons. If he did abandon his principles and nail his colours to a more pro remain mast he might well lose as many votes as he gained. Fun fact, most Labour Mp's were elected in pro Brexit constituencies.
