As I understand it from next season you can't be done twice in the same season, accounts are now due in Dec so punishments can be for the same season.

There would always be an overlap the first season this comes in

O and Everton voted for it.

Over to @El Presidente to correct me completely 😂
suspect the DULLARD may be a little bit busy for the next couple of days.

Is it corrupt or have the rest of the PL (including Brighton) voted in rules that immediately sanction the type of rule breaking allegedly committed by Everton and Forest (and reported on by end of December) and which do not cover Man City and Chelsea ? It’s too easy to call corruption rather than good old fashioned incompetence. Remember the PL is run by its member clubs.

I am wondering if Everton and Forest are the FA setting the precedent here for punishing Chelsea, Man City and the likes. It will be interesting to see if that punishment comes soon, but I feel like they can’t be thinking of going in hard on Everton like this if they aren’t doing the same to the others.

Nothing to do with the FA.

Man City have breached the financial rules 115 times

Hopefully, the cheaters will be expelled from the Premier League soon :)

It's insane this has been going on for months and people still have no idea of the difference between 114 charges being sorted and 1 and why it takes so long.

How can you call it corrupt when they haven't made a call on the out come of the charges.

"Forests defence is expected to be based around their decision to delay the sale of Brennan Johnson to ensure they received the highest price possible for the academy graduate, whose fee would, in PSR terms, be deemed pure profit. The forward was sold on deadline day last September for £47.5m to Tottenham, two months after the cut-off point for complying with PSR. If Forest had sold Johnson before 30 June, the club believe they would have received a lower fee. Although that would have put them the right side of the allowed losses, they are expected to argue it was better for their long-term health to maximise their profit and make them more sustainable."

The fact that summer transfer window spans two separate seasons in FFP is a bit odd

Why should forest have outgoings included and not incoming?

Yes, I would argue Forest have a point there.

Is this it for this season? Just Forest and Everton, or is there the possibility more will be confirmed over the coming days?

Indeed but that excuse is bollocks.

They overspent by an extraordinary margin when first promoted to the Premier League. If they really cared about PSR, they’d have sold Johnson prior to the 30th June. If they’d have arranged Caicedo-style auction like the smart folk at our club, they’d have got well over £40m for the lad. He is very highly rated.

I’m sick of this moaning about the rules THEY signed up to. Boo-bloody-hoo.

Evertons PR has been very good, making out to be the victims

They over spent
They tried to hide it in covid / stadium losses
They lost 250 million before (correct ) adjustment
Their wage bill is horrendous
