About 6-7 minutes ago I exited the Carling Academy in Bristol where The Thrills just played an absolutely f***ing superb set.

Great work fellas.

Ive seen then three times and loved each gig. Live they are completely different to the way they sound on CD.

Highly recomend them and genuinely nice people as well.

New album is ok but not much different to the first one and I dont think it is as good and certainly not as new/fresh sounding. Summer is the best time to listen to the thrills. Go with the Kings of Leon.

Ah right.... Would be a bit like me coming back from a gig at the Aula Maxima in NUIM - 5 minute drive, including parking time at each end

That said the last band that I saw there were the Divine Comedy before they were popular. No-one famous plays colleges....

not a big thrills fan... never seen them live though so cannae really comment on that.

did you catch 'the kooks' bozza? on first and i know at least one of them is an nsc regular.

Got there a little late but caught 3 or 4 Kooks tracks, as impressed, and made a mental note to look them up this morning.

Can't get into The Thrills.

I saw them at Folkestone and was very impressed. Dead 60's were support and they were pretty good too.
