It's generally regarded that 50 points is the safety barrier...we're on 37 so that's 13 to go. Four wins and a draw from 16 games?

Here's my prediction:

Leeds (away) DRAW
Derby (home) WIN
Cardiff (away) DRAW
Sunderland (home) LOSS
Millwall (home) WIN
Stoke (away) LOSS
Plymouth (away) DRAW
Wigan (home) LOSS
Reading (home) DRAW
Coventry (away) WIN
Preston (away) LOSS
Leicester (home) DRAW
Burnley (away) DRAW
West Ham (home) LOSS
Rotherham (away) WIN
Ipswich (home) LOSS

That's 18 points putting us on 55 points...

Knowing my record of predicting these things don't exactly bet money on it, but we should be alright this season :clap2:

Leeds (away) DRAW
Derby (home) DRAW
Cardiff (away) DRAW
Sunderland (home) LOSS
Millwall (home) DRAW
Stoke (away) WIN
Plymouth (away) WIN
Wigan (home) DRAW
Reading (home) DRAW
Coventry (away) WIN
Preston (away) DRAW
Leicester (home) WIN
Burnley (away) DRAW
West Ham (home) LOSS
Rotherham (away) WIN
Ipswich (home) WIN - they'll be Champions by then and won't give a shit.

63 points - comfortable mid-table.

OK, I'm getting a bit carried away here :D but I think the important thing is we have a very tough month coming up and I can't see a win there, but we still have opportunities to pick up a lot of points after that - so we'll need to keep the faith through February.

Here's the Gills fixtures until the end of the season.

Watford (away)
Millwall (home)
Wolves (away)
West Ham (home)
Wigan (home)
Rotherham (away)
Leeds (away)
Stoke (home)
Ipswich (home)
Preston (away)
QPR (away)
Burnley (home)
Crewe (home)
Derby (away)
Cardiff (home)
Nottm Forest (away)

They are 8 points behind us and need 21 points for the 50 point safety barrier. That's SEVEN wins. Can you really see them winning 7 games above?? I know we shouldn't count our chickens but... :p

It wouldnt be unrealistic toexpect gillingham to pick up less than 10 points from that lot leaving us very little to do to stay up.
with Rtherham seemingly down &Forest set to follow we could be celebrating survival by easter.

i can see gillingham getting the points, i think they have an easier run in than us.

Still believe plymouth will go down which i predicted at beginning of season, and can see crewe still collapsing.

cant see us beating derby at home, best team i have seen all season, and also have four away wins on the bounce.

Im worried about the Derby game. They looked good today at West Ham and have won five in a row away from home.

Which means that they're due for a loss. Let's hope they remember how badly they tonked us, turn up thinking it'll be a doddle against us and we turn them over......

London Irish has a point actually, by the last game Ipswich will already have gone up and won't be so up for it, so I think we could beat them.

The Forest fans I spoke to after the game yesterday have already given up hope :)

Just 12 points to go now - I'll stick with my prediction that a draw would be good for us next week given the tough run of fixtures we're in the middle of. Glad we still have the 9-point buffer - the Gills fixtures look pretty tough too in this current period until they play Rotherham in six games' time.

The worrying thing is that none of the predicters thought we would lose to Derby, what do they think know about our chances against Sunderland

I think we can pick up points as follows:

Cardiff - draw
Millwall - win
Reading - win
Coventry - draw
Leicester - win
Rotherham - draw

f*** the rest, that should be enough. Keep the faith.

We will get enough points. Where they come from who cares.
Point last week or this week does it matter. Point from Cardiff or Sunderland will be ok. Best not to lose against Cardiff and then lose aginst Sunderland. These games have to be taken into consideration and I half expected to lose to Derby who are the best form team in the league. Shame we lost when they went down to 10 men but there you go. Went to Leeds last week and expected to come home empty handed so what have we lost ? Nothing.

I thought we'd get 3 points from our last 4 games and we've got 4, so might have to revise upwards my forecast of 63 points :D

My optimistic view is we'll wrap this relegation fight up at Coventry - and what symbolism and irony, in front of Micky Adams and possibly shoving his new team into the bottom 3!

As I keep saying we need to aim for 54 points but once we get this month over with it will be slightly different...We can then start checking out the maximum points the 22nd place club can get and aim to get above that total. Obviously that will decrease as that team (currently Gillingham) lose and draw games.

We are nearly there though.

Albion & England forever.
