!!!

Still not sure how to pronounce it.

I believe it's pronounced Chk-Chk-Chk (as if that's any better). They weren't too bad, have a few songs on my computer of theirs.

Not bit of wood, another local band, terrible name.

More locals (this time from Brighton), with Apologies to Tom the singer, 'Wrist Action' is a pretty grim name. As were they . . .

"If you wanna get a piece of the action
Get yourself some wrist action"

I loved them at the time, though . . . .

One of my favourite bands, Department of Eagles. Too Palace-y.

Never heard of them; how embarrassing . . . Lol!

I give you: Rikki and the Last Days of Earth

You'd have to have a heart of stone to not . . . laugh

Personal dislikes are:

Gay Dad
F#*k Buttons
T'pau for referencing Star Trek and having a singer who sang off key.

The band. Not the action.

Why?

Limp Bizkit is pretty grim once you're old enough to figure out what it refers to.

Sigue Sigue Sputnik were crap as well as having a silly name.

Agree about the name, but I rather liked them . . . . first single, anyway. One of them had a bit of a thing with Janet Street Porter. Swift end of cred and career . . .

Not bit of wood, another local band, terrible name.
I thought they were 'it's not wood', either way it doesn't matter.

The whole band knew the name was sh*t, but the lead singer always refused to change it.
When they finally got a deal, they had to change to Clearlake (anything would have been an improvement).

Sadly never quite 'made it', even with a Mark & Lard Record of the Week under their belts.

I hate the name Deacon Blue, but that's only because I always picture Duncan from Blue when I hear them mentioned.

View attachment 44676

Edit; After a quick glance through my collection I'd also like to add Kitchens Of Distinction.

Deacon Blue were named after a Steely Dan track - what's wrong with that. Although the song was deacon Blues. Would it have been better had they left the "s" on.

Eagles of Death Metal is a pretty crap one. They sound nothing like the Eagles and nothing like Death Metal.

"A" were a bloody annoying one purely because googling them is difficult.

B*witched - probably don't need to explain this. But I would have done the redhead

Not bit of wood, another local band, terrible name.

Even they thought so and changed it to Clearlake. Jason Pegg, top chap.

My own favourities, and the swear filter is going to take most of them out:

The ***** (That's the 'c' word there)
The ****ing Pieces of Shit (Eventually changed their name to The Pieces)
