I like a bit of Dear Deidrie's photo casebook, and have a quick look online occasionally. But the pay wall is coming, and I'm decked if I'd ever give them my money...

This so called newspaper is as useful as a perforated tampon.
Please do not for whatever reason give it the time of day.

JC once suggested to me my headlines were worthy of The Sun. I don't think he was joking. Not sure what to make of it now.

I wouldn't even wipe my arse with that paper. It's appalling that they can still get away with the vile things they write

Unlike proper newspapers (Times, Grauniad, Indy, Telegraph), tabloids operate by reminding the reader that they are right (pandering to the prejudices, as some may put it, but that's a bit rude). So if you are someone who needs to be comforted, you buy a tabloid that shares your view. Most people who have replied to this thread either don't appear to need to be comforted by their newspaper, or don't feel comforted by the views propagated by the Sun, whereas some do.

I haven't looked at the Sun for years (I used to sneak a peek at page 3 when I was a paperboy, delivering piles of them to the council flats in the early 70s). Does it still use words like 'poof' and 'paki'? Its football reports used to be dreadful and error strewn, and seemed to stoke the mentality that winning the world cup was an English Right. Weird, very weird.

I love these threads on NSC about the sun or the daily mail.

Every poster trying to prove that they HATE a newspaper the most. Why can't you just accept that everyone is different and this type of publication appeals to a lot of people?

No I hate it more. No I hate it more. I haven't bought it since 1976. Well I haven't bought it since 1968. I bought it once but only to use as chip paper and it made my chips taste like dog poo.

I've been published in the Daily Mail and still hate the paper, beat that!
(One of The Daily Mail 4 possibly 3 who were cruelly published from NSC by said rag.)
