I think his hold up play is a lot, lot better, personally.
He's just not as clinical.

For the first time in about a year, we'll have to agree to disagree.

By hold up play, I also include my opinion that GM is possibly the best in the league at drawing fouls easily.

According to Sky News , you can sign a 'free agent' until the 31st for your current 1st team squad BUT they have to be HGP , you cant sign an overseas free agent for your current squad until January

so the new rules made that as clear as mud really .... hopefully all transfer windows will close on same day soon (sure FIFA or UEFA are said to bring this in next year)

Michael Owen ?

Michael Owen ?

I may have miss read the article ... the wording used is "However, to comply with Premier League squad rules, any out-of-contract player City recruit would likely have to be a homegrown player. To qualify as homegrown a player must have been registered with a club affiliated with the Football Association for at least three years before they turn 21." ... of which I the 'likely' part didnt register with my brain .... full article about Man City GK situation

Do you want to point me at the part where I ever suggested that Hemed should be the ONLY forward on the bench?

YOU yourself didn't but Chris rarely has more than one MAIN striker on the bench

This is simply not true.

Last 5 matches of last season:

17.04.18 v Spurs - Ulloa AND Locadia on the bench
28.04.18 v Burnley - Murray AND Locadia on the bench
04.05.18 v United - Ulloa AND Locadia on the bench
09.05.18 v Man City - Murray AND Locadia on the bench
13.05.18 v L'pool - Murray AND Ulloa on the bench

I never said never. He was chasing the final few points for safety and the last two he could afford to - We are talking about max 10/40 games you know well as I do it's not the norm for him to have 2 strikers on the bech

He usually has

1. Goalkeeper
2. A Full Back
3. A Centre Half
4. A Defensive Midfielder
5. An attacking Midfielder
6. A Winger
7. A Striker

Sorry. Your specialist subject may very well be the life and career of Chris Hughton, but you are BANG WRONG.

Just to humour you, here are the last FIFTEEN games of last season:

17.04.18 v Spurs - Ulloa AND Locadia on the bench
28.04.18 v Burnley - Murray AND Locadia on the bench
04.05.18 v United - Ulloa AND Locadia on the bench
09.05.18 v Man City - Murray AND Locadia on the bench
13.05.18 v L'pool - Murray AND Ulloa on the bench
17.04.18 v Spurs - Ulloa AND Locadia on the bench
14.04.18 v Palace - Baldock AND Ulloa on the bench
07.04.18 v Hudds - Baldock AND Ulloa AND Locadia on the bench
31.03.18 v Leics - Baldock AND Hemed on the bench
17.03.18 v United - Murray AND Baldock on the bench
10.03.18 v Everton - Ulloa AND Locadia on the bench
04.03.18 v Arsenal - Ulloa AND Locadia on the bench
24.02.18 v Swansea - Ulloa AND Locadia on the bench
17.02.18 v Coventry - Baldock AND Hemed on the bench
10.02.18 v Stoke - Locadia AND Ulloa on the bench
03.02.18 v WHU - Baldock AND Ulloa on the bench

So, in FIFTEEN straight games, there was only ONE* match when he didn't have two strikers on the bench.

(*Because he had THREE)

Wow... Amazing how Ben Barclay, 22 year old, isn't going to be 22 until October... It's 2018 ffs, he's 23 in October

No he's 22 in October, BG is right in that respect, it's just that everything else about his post is wrong. Ben Barclay was born October 7th 1996.

According to the stats, he’s actually about the best in the league at committing them as well [emoji23][emoji23]

Both Gyokeres and Connolly offer hope for he future but are not ready for prolonged first team action and neither play the Murray role in fact we have nobody Hemed included that can play that role as effectively. This means that should he get injured our system of attack will have to change so Hemed staying or going on loan wouldnt alter the situation. If TH is happy to stay as 4th choice keep him if not let him go out on loan. If he goes on loan we are then forced to change our approach play and both Locadia and Andone, if fit, would be able to step in with Gyokeres and Connolly as back up.

to be fair there are very few players who are as effective as Murray in his style of play. He was brilliant on Sunday, a master class.
