It is not a Barrass pub but the parent company is the same one Mitchell and Butlers.

Who have loads of different management companies like Ember Inns, Vintage Character Inns, Bar One, O Neills to name but a few.

thought it was in one of those chains. Perhaps a letter to the parent company may make them change their attitude. I still however drink in the Longman/Brewery tap before games

Because very very few of these people in the ten deep queue will be given the opportunity to spend anywhere near as much as they would like. Many will walk out and not spend anything. I'd call that a failure.

Poor service...therefore a failure. I go to bars and pubs to have a drink and enjoy myself....not spend my time in a fight to get served.

Maybe you could just print off this thread and present him with it m'lud. Wouldn't be very hard for new manager to boost match-day takings to a record level (by not poncing about serving one coffee instead of twenty lagers, or by employing about a dozen more bar-staff for a couple of hours, including some without an attitude problem). Should be a simple tap-in for him or her to win 'Employee Of the Month' award.
