Bored of the fireworks, and NYE in general. Been on a week-long fishing trip on the Hawkesbury River instead. Apparently I fell asleep at 11.58pm, and woke up on the sofa an hour later. Felt fine this morning.
I was up at midnight, but only to make sure the fireworks didn't upset the cats - but here in Shoreham, there were very few fireworks at all. So, a pretty decent nights sleep.
Spent the evening with family and friends but didn't go overboard on the beers. Got to bed at 1.30am but up again at 8.00am. Head feels fine. Large Lavazza coffee and bacon sarnie - sorted!
Surprisingly after 8 pints and a bottle of bubbly i am hangover free or maybe i'm still pissed. Have just devoured a fry up and all is well with the world.
Not intended but did not feel well last night so laid off the booze and stuck to lemonade. More paracetmol this morning, but the only thing I was worried about was making the game today
I'm in Ukraine at the moment and still managed to avoid getting shitfaced last night, not quite sure how I managed it but thankful I did. Just went outside, minus 9, straight back inside, not brisk refreshing walk weather.
Same here, feel absolutely shattered this morning. No booze, didn't watch the New Year dross on the telly, just a rather interesting programme about the world's most dangerous airports. Gosh there's some brutes out there. Planes landing about 15 feet above tourists' heads at St Maarten, a sheer drop after the runway at Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Scary.
Bed at around 1am, but I managed to injure my back somehow yesterday (no I wasn't drunk) and today I am experiencing considerable discomfort, so bad that I virtually passed out with pain in the shower. Not a good start to 2011.
Happy New Year to all on NSC, we move to Falmer this year...how bloody good does that sound?
If you look on YouTube you can find vids of people standing on the road and beach at the end of that runway when planes come in to land...or even more crazy, when they are taking off!
