Am I right in thinking that the administrators applied for their court costs to be covered by the taxpayer? (In the region of £230k)

I would think you are yes, it's an utter farce. It''l make things a lot harder for the next team (maybe Cardiff) as HRMC won't hold back next time. The whole Administration concept will make more than a few people think twice about giving football teams credit as well.
