Its weird Kevin Davies didnt get more opportunities, he was quite good for quite a long time.

Not better than Owen, Rooney, Crouch, Defoe and Heskey though. And other players at certain points had better form. In 2006 for example Vassell was the better pick.

I'm pretty sure there's a cricketer who played one test match and didn't bat or bowl - don't think he was an England player though.

EDIT: I was wrong, it was an England player - Jack McBryan. Only half a day's play was possible so he didn't bat or bow

The shortest test career in a match that was completed was Australia's Roy Park. He got a first ball duck and as Australia won by an innings, he didn't get another chance. It was his only test match
