The shootings in France [Merged]

dunno - didn't someone involved work at a Nuclear facility? (I could be getting terribly confused though)

That was the French Cyclist that got shot.

I'm beginning to wonder if this was maybe an assassination of him and the family just happened upon it, tried to reverse out got stuck on the bank and got shot because they witnessed it rather than the other way round.

Oh right - in which case, it's unlikely then.

Wonder what they've found at the house then?

Like your spin on things! Maybe they need to look into the Cyclist a bit more.

By the seaside in West Somerset
suspect this morning's shennanigans at the house were as relevant as the coach stopped on the M6 Toll earlier in the summer - an over-reaction to something that proves to be nothing

Speaking as an STFC employee there is so much wrong with that article it's unbelievable !

RAL is NOT top secret, and never has been - I think they must be getting us confused with Aldermaston.............. ( you need absolutely a top level of security vetting to get a job there ).

As for being a work experience student - means nothing, here that means you are the lowest of the lowest dogsbodies and get something fairly inconsequential to work on, just as a work experience employee would anywhere. what is more it was 28 years ago, so is hardly relevant to what he has been doing in the more recent past. In fact the UK took so many Iraqui students on degree and post degree courses in the 1980's because they were more profitable to UK Universities than British students. I can assure you, having worked here for 20 years, that no-one has attempted to shoot me in the head because of it.

And I understood he worked for Surrey Satellite Technology ( a PRIVATE company specialising in building communication satellites ), so would be far more likely to be involved in satellite surveillance of nuclear facilities for ( say the IAEA ).

My guess is this is the work of Iran, as they're getting p***** off at having satellites taking photos of their secret facilities from outer space.
