Bit surprised that the family stand has been moved (again) after they made people move seats when they said they were moving it right next to the away end. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else post about this. There was quite the discussion about it at the time.

The most curious thing..
What do you do if you don't have a smart phone or any photo id (no passport or driving licence)?

I won’t be using the mobile option. I love having tickets too, I have a big collection, very important part of football culture.

I’ve never been charged that amount, maybe £5, but most of the time I’ve had them printed for free.

The big one is still near the North Stand, but the smaller one was south of the centre of the East Stand, they had planned to move it further south, but now it’s been moved to the West Stand wing (north end).

Not sure they've changed the original, just made the 'shelf' between the north and west an additional family area. It used to be for youth clubs block bookings and match day tickets (the concession there didn't sell alcohol).

By original, do you mean the one in E1G? If so, then that’s been moved to the shelf. If you meant blocks E1A, E1B and E1C, then they are still family blocks.

My first post was about how there was a big discussion about the E1G family bit being moved next to the away end and how people had to give up their seats. I was just wondering if any of those had heard anymore about it considering the family bit will be somewhere else now.

The take-over ST is obviously a big positive whatever elsewhere is being cracked down upon. But still a little confused about the eligibility and how much you have to pay.

If the recipient is a Albion member or an existing ST holder sitting somewhere else (I guess this is how the "move" thing is still in operation), there is no cost

If they are not these things, then it is £20.

I hope that's right, you don't have to pay £20 and also £25 for a membership for one takeover?

Yep, can only transfer if you’ve paid £20, and the recipient is an Albion+ member (£25 pa)

So you can upgrade a kid’s ticket to a random non-member 6 times a season, but not transfer an adult ST to a non-member without spending at least £45 between you ?

Upgrading a concession ticket will still cost about £20-30 each time depending on where you sit.

Always has done.....used it myself many times.

If my son was 12 I could upgrade his ticket for maybe £20 and take a pal. As he’s an adult, I can’t unless I’ve paid £20 and the recipient is an Albion + member and paid £25. If junior (or I) can’t make a game this coming season, his or my seat will be empty I suspect. Not always been the case previously. Doubt I’m the only one in that situation

I suspect part of the reason is that the club can't be seen to effectively allow people to avoid the ST queue.

Thanks but I'm looking at the 5 point explanation in the Albion paper and it seems to me to say something different. I'm talking specifically about changing the name on the seat, not a one off game, sorry if what I wrote previously didn't make this clear.

It states that the person taking over the seat must be either a myalbion member or a renewed ST holder. Then, I'll quote directly

"If they are none of these, then the new occupant must set themselves up with a fan number at tickets website and a £20 take over fee will be charged to the new occupant".

No mention of having to pay £25 to be a member, which i think is right if you are about to pay over £700 to be a season ticket holder.

Am I reading this wrong, anyone? I might be, who knows

2. The person ‘taking over’ the seat must be either a 2020/21 MyAlbion+ member or a renewed season ticket holder with a registered fan number at tickets.brightonandhovealbion.com. If they are none of these, then the new occupant must set themselves up with a fan number at tickets.brightonandhovealbion.comand a £20 take-over fee will be charged to the new occupant.

The typos are the club’s not mine!

It does seem to say if the person is NOT Albion+ or an existing ST holder, then just set them up with fan number.

Knowing someone who moved back to area last season and got a ST and was not on waiting list I doubt if there is one now

All tickets to be on your phone next season.

Following successful trials in 2020, all season tickets for the 21/22 season will be issued as mobile tickets. This is for security and safety reasons. The mobile ticket will work whether you have a phone with an NFC chip or not, as the ticket will work by either scanning the chip in the phone OR by scanning a barcode that is displayed. For extra security the barcode changes every 20 seconds so photos of the ticket will not work. If you do not have a smart phone please contact Supporter Services in June. STHs are reminded that photo ID must be shown every matchday, confirming the named attendee matches the name on the season ticket (under-12s are exempt from showing photo ID).

What about us oldies?

Will this suffice?
