Propper & Stephens - I slated them a lot last season (often, in my defence, with good reason) but both have looked far, far better players this term in the new system (especially Davy).
Leicester.
Never thought they'd be where they are but they ended up replacing Maguire with the possibly even better Soyuncu, brought in Ayoze Perez who turns out to be pretty damn good when not wearing black and white stripes and, crucially, Jamie Vardy is still stupidly rapid.
Plus it feels like Rodgers has something to prove back in the PL, not to mention home grown boy Harvey Barnes playing well. And James Maddison too.
Would not have been a good idea. Would have attracted a lot of input from posters who would never contribute to a thread requiring them to say where they'd been wrong! This thread is quite nice at the moment!I guess to spark up a livelier conversation this thread should have been:-
The season so far - "I was right about..."

Thinking we’d get slaughtered at Anfield, sadly I’ll probably be wrong thinking we’ll win at the Emirates too
I was wrong about:-
Chelsea - I thought they'd be in all manner of Arsenalesque trouble.
Sheffield Utd - Obviously.
Watford - I might have thought they'd be shite, but no more no less shite than the rest of 'us'.
The Albion
Big Jurg - Although he is banging in goals, so technically...
Mooy - I'm still not quite as convinced as everybody else, but there's no way he's as 'bad' a player I thought he was.
Alzate - I don't remember having an opinion, but if I did it would have been wrong.
Big Burn
Big Burn
Big Dan Burn - As above.
Andone - Wrong and somewhat grumpy that he was actually more looney toons, than expected, a bit of a waste.
No I haven't although you seem to have forgotten the same reply you've received every single time you've falsely accused me of championing Ali above all others. You seem to have forgotten Ali J.
You didn't even mention Ndidi and Tielemens
I think time will tell.Besides not getting slaughtered at Anfield and blowing the GD away what did we accomplish there? Another zero in points. We haven't turned any corners (not the ones on the pitch) in being successful. We are hiding in place.

That's not my point of this thread.Spuds & Poch - I didn’t envisage their implosion.
Chelsea - I thought the transfers ban would have a huge negative impact, and that Lampard was given the job on sentiment several years too early.
Arsenal - I never thought they’d reach these new lows.
West Ham - they’ve been quietly spending huge sums on players, I thought they’d shine in the top 8, outclassing the likes of us. They didn’t.
Watford - the Pozzo family normally get the club to a safe position, their car crash season (so far) has been a surprise.
Other than that, as expected. I had faith in Potter from the moment TB signed him up. I won’t comment on ManC’s demise .... we’re only at the beginning of December. They have the most expensive squad in the history of the game, giving cover for positions other clubs can only dream of, they may well have bought another title come May.
Connolly - I knew bugger all about him, now I know he’s a great talent.
