Ireland were so below par that was quite strange and as stated to make the final mistake of booting it straight out after 80 minutes.

Japan were relentless at times, fantastic win

Great performance by Japan and can only assume that the Irish player made a mistake with how much time there was left.of the game. It should be said that if hadnt found touch and it had stayed in and gone to a Japan player he would have done the same so no great problem really.
 


Japan very exciting to watch. I wonder how far they can go?

I was out there for the Australia v Fiji and England v Tonga games in Sapporo. They are loving their rugby in Japan currently, what a stunning host nation.

Also, this was the main question and debate, we said getting to the quarters would be seen as a success, they currently look worthy of potentially a semi final spot.

This is a great result for England too.
