Very true I am obsessive about people who continually ask for donations then waste the money when it could be used to save animals and educate rather than prosecute (other than those that continually neglect and abuse animals)and the reason I dislike the RSPCA .....well there are many this is not to say that I dislike the people who actually do the prevention and rescue(I have said previously that these people are to be admired) but it becomes a large problem made up of many small ones.

As for the petition,we will see once it has been running for a while.

So you dont thin kthat people who abuse animals should be prosecuted? I really don't understand wht your issue is

ahh, so we get closer to the real reason I suspect.

So you want them to educate and rescue instead of prosecuting anyone other than repeat abusers. Well f*** it, you are wrong. If they catch someon abusing an animal for the frst time and send the **** down then good, it will sto pthe shit abusing animals anymore. You are saying one incident of abuse or neglect is ok but more than one is not? BOLLOCKS

the trouble is they don't prosecute when they could (there are many cases that I could use as an instance .................but I really don't see the point) and you want to fill the prisons with animal abusers and on past performance those fined just do it again,so maybe educating them might be a better line to take.

It seems that we are always going to disagree so best if we agree to disagree as it looks like it will become a bit of a slanging match and my time is to precious for that.

I've been involved in animal rights since the 1980's. I don't think we disagree that much, I just don't think you have given any good reasons people should not support the RSPCA. They are the best of a bad bunch, I'd prefer people support the ALF, the HRS and SHAC quite frankly. But they don't and they won't right now so I would prefer them to support the RSPCA.

As I said I have no doubt about your dedication to AR and AW but I think the RSPCA is perhaps a wrong target.

And I didn't intend it to become a slanging match, honest <insert smiley wavey smiley here>

The RSPCA does waste alot of money and i know many people who work with them and really are horrified of how they are run, how trigger happy they are where animals are concerned and how little they co-operate with other similar organisations. From a more personal point of view i got a 15-year old cat off them with about four major illnesses. Which in fact turned out to be about 3-4 and perfectly healthy

That figures someone else probably got the cat that was 15years old and had 4 illnesses.

although aging a cat is not easy teeth and eyes are the thing to look at first.
