Do you think it's high time that GSouth read out the Riot Act (1715) to the players?
Yeah this.I know it's fashionable to blame Southgate (and rightly so as he is absolutely clueless tactically) but I think he could reasonably expect one or two of them to play better than pub footballers.
You can't really legislate for Phil Foden barely completing 3 passes a game or John Stones suddenly looking about as reliable as an Austin Maxi.
Southgate is a clown but he's being let down too.
I’d be happy with the good old “by mutual” blah blahNo, it’s about high time he resigned though.
We didn't even qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, something else the FA seem to feel is acceptable under Southgate. Bloody shambles.Ivory Coast sacked their manager halfway through the Africa Cup of Nations and then went on to win the ruddy thing, not something the FA would ever do though.
I’ve heard GPotz is on a mud larking holiday in Mudchutte and isn’t contactable by phone unfortunatelyIvory Coast sacked their manager halfway through the Africa Cup of Nations and then went on to win the ruddy thing, not something the FA would ever do though.
I understand the implications of reading aloud the Riot Act (1715) to the players but I don't see how we can do any worse.

I take umbrage at your comment. The Austin Allegro is far more unreliable than an Austin Maxi.I know it's fashionable to blame Southgate (and rightly so as he is absolutely clueless tactically) but I think he could reasonably expect one or two of them to play better than pub footballers.

As the game kicked off at 1700, it would have been too late.Do you think it's high time that GSouth read out the Riot Act (1715) to the players?
Rees-Mogg wouldn't like your tautology there BryWe didn't even qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, something else the FA seem to feel is acceptable under Southgate. Bloody shambles.

Er, no - as you would know if you read my post properly. I'm no really sure I can be more clear than by saying "I know it's fashionable to blame Southgate (and rightly so as he is absolutely clueless tactically)".But of the two possibilities that
1/ The players had no plan, didn't understand what they were being asked to do and played with no confidence
2/ 15 of the best players in England unfortunately all had an off night at the same time
You prefer option 2 ? (OK 14, I exaggerated for dramatic effect, Guéhi not being bad, which probably makes it even worse )
