The abuse of power is kicking off all over the shop.

Should people really be able to bend the rules, bully peoples opinions, just because of perceived power?

Maybe people should stop listening to the noise and actually use their gut instinct whether these people deserve any power at all.

Lineker is a disgrace IMO

What do you think?

Have you seen any other abuse of so-called power of late???

Yes, plenty in the last year:

Boris unlawfully suspending Parliament.
Boris sacking civil servants who don’t simply tell Ministers what they want to hear.
Boris and his puppet-master Cummings sacking Special Advisers who think differently.
The constant Tory threats against the BBC over its future.
Last week’s order to the BBC to stop broadcasting “left-wing” comedy,
The awarding of contracts, worth hundreds of millions of pounds of taxpayers money, to private firms simply because they donate to the Conservative Party.
The barrage of anti-Labour propaganda and character assassination in the Tory press last December.
The death- and rape-threats by the Far Right against public figures who oppose(d) Brexit.

Yet you’re upset by something Gary Linekar said.

Either you need to give your head a good wobble, or stop being such a snowflake, or go and live in North Korea so you won’t have to hear other points of view.
You forgot to mention the Cumming's Eye Test abuse of power, Nigel Farage's career as a MEP claiming wages but mostly not turning up for work and Johnson sitting on the Russia Report and delaying its publication while the Tory Party is funded by... Er, Russians.

Brexit: Boris Johnson planning to override key parts of EU withdrawal agreement - report

The Financial Times reports that sections of the Internal Market Bill, due to be published on Wednesday, are expected to "eliminate the legal force of parts of the withdrawal agreement" in areas including Northern Ireland customs and state aid.

A source told the FT that the move could "clearly and consciously" undermine the agreement on Northern Ireland that the prime minister signed last October to avoid a return to a hard border with the Irish Republic.

OP had the chance for immortality with his unhinged, Poundland Inspector Gadget thread the other day...now it's just embarrassing and kind of upsetting to see someones emotional decline.

Lineker has no power over me.

This is simply because I do not pay any attention to any opinions on the internet. I am free of any power he ( or anyone else ) has over others.

Just pixels on a screen which I don't read or pay any attention to.

Having now watched the link I'd suggest that the bloke Alex presenting it is one of the biggest pricks on the planet.

Can we just get this crap into the bear pit or deleted altogether. It does nothing for the board and quite frankly the op could do with a bit of a holiday from NSC too.
Yep. Getting tired of Mouldy Boots and his tedious threads and opinions. Time for a holiday for him I reckon.

Let him do it....I’d love to see the full force of the EU enacted on Boris. He really does need putting in his place.

It's a sad thing to watch a person's mind disintegrating before one's eyes. I can see this, even though the OP is on ignore. Not one single reply of support for your latest outburst, mouldy. Does that not tell you anything?

I am calling on the moderators to give this mouldy an enforced rest for a bit, for his own sake.

Great, to know others will use their own judgement and not be led by popular sportsmen.

Is it his singing or directness???

Don't do it you will miss out on original and new material:lolol:
I've blown it now:hilton:
Of course, I could Harry you first!

Why for protecting a friend or protecting future victims of verbal abuse of the internet.

I didn't call anyone a mental stalker.

I can start a thread about hating Pompey or something???

How uncomfortable has this board got with members tagging individual moderators and calling for other members to be banned!

It’s like players rounding on a ref and simulating red cards after a foul has taken place.

do you genuinely believe you get bullied on here?

When I find that putting someone on ignore is not enough, because I keep seeing new threads posted by the chap, and when I look the thread resembles one of thse 1960 school bully episodes where the mad boy ends up having his face rubbed with dog shit while all the others laugh, I feel that enough is probably enough. I think he does get bullied, like Looney did.

I have cetainly rubbed metaphorical dog shit in mouldy's face in the past and I'm now feeling decidedly queasy about it. Just because you are an obnoxious offensive gammon doesn't mean you're not owed some duty of care by the site moderators. As I said, I think the best solution is likely to be the one imposed on Looney.

If your world view is threatened by the presenter of Match of the Day in any other topic than us getting shown at one in the morning then it is time for a rethink.
