pilchard on the bench and so far unused.
Has he played 90 minutes TOTAL yet this season?
It's hard not to think he hasn't already collected well over £50k in wages.

Think they did Alex Neil didn't seem to know to much about him when he arrived. That's a weird one, £8million and it looks like they don't want him. Surely they didn't SING him just to make sure we didn't ?
Newcastle's squad is completely ridiculous, I had no idea Christian Atsu was even there! They're gonna run away with this league.
Teams in with a chance compared to 2011-12
when Reading had 15 pts at this stage and won the League. http://www.statto.com/football/teams/reading/2011-2012/table/2011-10-16
Fancied teams under 15 pts this season: Fulham 14, Ipswich 13, Villa 10, Derby 10.
Huddersfield have a high total of 25 pts after 11 games. Same as us last season: http://www.statto.com/football/teams/ipswich-town/2015-2016/table/2015-10-18
Most likely that Huddersfield would make the play-offs (at least) with that sort of total but there have been collapses in the recent past, Middlesbro in 2011-12 and Forest in 2013-14

Bookies are odds on with Norwich and Newcastle and we are following up at about 5/4

Newcastle are 9/1 to win the play-offs. We are 6/1 to be Champions.
There are some similarities to last season with favourites (Hull, Burnley, and Boro 2015: Newcastle, Norwich and Brighton 2016) and a team from nowhere (Udders 2016; Brighton 2015) competing. Not going to fall into trap of dismissing Udders as others did of us last season (not played any good teams, one goal wins etc) but I am beginning to wonder whether we shall see another season with 3 or even 4 teams achieving well over 80 points.
I don't know what to make of Huddersfield. I thought they looked very average at best, when they played us the other week. But they still continue to come away winning other games. There are some similarities to last season with favourites (Hull, Burnley, and Boro 2015: Newcastle, Norwich and Brighton 2016) and a team from nowhere (Udders 2016; Brighton 2015) competing. It looks as if Barnsley are on the way down, which will not surprise those there at the match to see them give us little real competition. Huddersfield were not much better, paying us so much respect with their time-wasting tactics almost from the start, and I have expected them to slide. But this has not happened and a win against Ipswich, when the home team were presumably desperate to win in their second successive home game, and McCarthy's teams are so physical, suggests that they might be in it for the long haul. Given that 4 German players were involved for them today, when we are frequently told that the British game is so much more physical and continental players need time to adjust, perhaps we all need to sit up and take note. I still think that the winter will catch them out with injuries and suspensions taking their toll, but it is of course quite possible that they will emulate Burnley three years ago, when everyone thought that they would not have the necessary staying power.
Wait until the Germans find they don't have Christmas off over here...
Football rumours saying that RDM will be sacked by Villa tomorrow with Steve Bruce and Dean Smith in the frame to take over.
