This chant wasn't just about last night, it's about this season, the Palace and Spurs games in particular.

Even if the ref did get last night's decisions correct, it is this kind of chant that will embarrass the Premier League into getting its house in order. They won't want their 'perfect' product tarnished in front of a billion global viewers and will insist that the pgmol raises it's game.

No more big team bias and no more home team bias.
I think we need a big banner in the North Stand saying it.

No digging at you, just curious, we’re you at the game or watch it on tv? I couldn’t see the Antony incident but there was a clear, clear feeling of injustice in the stands all round the ground at his bias to them… every decision nearly seemed to go their way… it became obvious and even the east were going mad at one point… Just curious on perspective
No it's fine, I was at home. I was annoyed at some decisions but generally when they showed a replay you could see why it was made. Ten Haag was similarly annoyed at letting stuff go. The only two clear errors for me was not to book Mitoma for a clear dive (but again angles and VAR not being able to get involved) and the Antony incident where he he got away with a yellow for red/yellow foul and then two/three yellow offences in a few seconds

Interesting - made me feel a little calmer. I’ve not seen any extended highlights or replays. The over-riding feeling in the stands was he was giving us nothing… Man U mate said Cass should have been sent off but others have said Antony…. Also they’re moaning about a free kick in the build up

Not knowing a tiny law that’s barely used in football and isn’t that important doesn’t make us idiots or fools thank you 👍
It does when half the ground is going mental over a lack of understanding the laws.

And you'll find it's used a fair bit. It was done so not to penalise the player who has been injured.

Yes it’s fine - I was one going mental. Don’t think it makes me an idiot personally but c’est la vie - good to hold your hands up and learn sometimes.

Ref was useless. Two ManUtds should have seen red, the bar for fouls was regularly higher for us, tonight VAR saved us, I bet the ref really was struggling having to give a penalty.

Some people say we only complain about the ref when we lose, not tonight.
Well according to Ten Hag all we did was kick them off the park 🤦🏻‍♂️

Naughty step for me and you Sheebo…

E- must try harder.

:lolol:
I’m genuinely a bit disappointed in myself for not knowing this rule! 🤣 Another never ever seemingly followed in the premier league is that you have to put a name on the ball. You can’t call ‘mine’ or ‘leave it’. Grassroots level they’re all over it. I’ve heard pros shout it and refs do nothing…

Honestly, if your thought after leaving the game last night was “I must write a complaint about the referee.” then I do wonder about the rest of your life.

Did you spend your wedding night complaining that the priest’s lacklustre delivery of the vows ruined the occasion for you?

I thought Ten Hag and Shaw’s press conferences were fairly classless and disappointing, but to hear my own side winning with poor grace is somehow worse. My completely unsolicited advice is to take the (fairly huge) positive and we’re on to the next match.

As others pointed out, the ref may not have been perfect, but we have to play though that just like every other team has to.

I can only suggest a bit of birch cane and thrash your own back 20 times for penance at your own ignorance - it worked for me…

I’m just glad there are people at the Amex when the atmosphere gets really intimidating and febrile that get everyone back in their seats so as to commend the officials for the correct application of the laws. Hostility replaced by polite applause is definitely the way forward.

Don't get me started on throw ins. I spent years coaching youngsters how to do it properly then watch professionals week in week out feet off the ground, chucking it etc. Every long throw is a foul throw as you can only get the distance by propelling it with a dominant hand behind the ball.

The whole ball whole line one is another - I’d say every lino flags when a ball isn’t fully out and fans don’t get angles or science… Mitoma at the WC the perfect example - lazy fans and pundits went ‘it’s clearly out’ from a view infield - the only view that matters is the direct along the line view…

Absolutely DISGRACEFUL bias - literally embarrassing. Summed up by not insisting Bruno cunty leave the pitch after having the trainers on?! Every 50/50 to them - utter garbage. Anyone saying otherwise prob wasn’t there to see it…
If the player who commits the foul is booked the injured player doesn't need to leave the field of play

I’m well aware of this and have been for years and years - @Bold Seagull didn’t even know - I’ve now told him - the tinker 😀

Same names same thread. I thought he was okay.

Any particular incident ? Anthony was walking a fine line but the tackle, from the replay, was a booking. The afters was started by Dunk. He could have gone, but I didn't feel we were hard done by there. If we are talking about decisions, there were three pretty hefty challenges of ours that led to him losing his head. All were waved through.

Mariner let a lot go on both sides.
Not one, but two "particular incidents"
Early in the game Man U full back took a goal kick in the direction of his opposite number, who picked the ball up and just for good measure picked the ball up and took another goal kick
Moaning Fernandez received treatment for an alledged injury and didn't leave the field, which the ref acknowledged by patting him on the back ?

My main point is that rarely does anyone list any incident where Albion benefited, and if they do it's normally a token addition to a list of grievances on decisions against.
