Staying up playing entertaining football would be progress in my mind.

I kind of see Spence's points that defensively we are exceptionally naive at times and it has already cost us points.
But I don't think GP's tactical nouse is the problem, more our players getting up to speed with the new systems.

Potter is looking the goods as a manager. Hopefully we will get to experience him with higher quality players.

Anything above staying up will be brilliant this season, then let's see what happens in the future.

8-12 would be a fantastic achievement b with this group of players I think.

Potter is so clearly an improvement on anything we have ever seen at the Amex, our build up play and tactical transitions during a game are amazing and he has got some very dull players passing and dominating possession. Our recruitment under CH especially since being in the premier league is very hit and miss which explains why we are using so many youngsters, this shows that Potter is doing incredible things developing tactical awareness and strategy. We are however very defensively naive and get caught out in ways that we didn't do under CH and seem to make the same mistakes, this comes from some tactical weaknesses being exploited and some players not adapting. Considering we have been 1 of 7 teams planning to avoid relegation each season and we now look like 1 of 7 teams fighting for a top 10 finish the move has worked and can only get better once Potter has 3-4 transfer windows to establish his own side

As stated above there’s over half the division that’s conceded the same or more goals than us so defensively we’re relatively solid just a couple of blunders

Probably working!
I've already debated so many times. As for who I would get in that is a pathetic childish question. I'm not quallfied or employed to scout managers. . Rest of your post is drivel really.
I want us to be competing with a mid table finish. Not much to ask is it?
You are not getting that with Potter
Come back to me later when all other managers have worked out our flaws and how poor Potter is tactically.

:ffsparr:
Maybe YOU should come back only when you realise how good Potter is and how wrong you are. Or better still don’t bother coming back.

Did you really expect us to get anything in this run of 3 games? Don’t think anyone here did. This season we are comfortable playing teams around us unlike last season.

We *are* competing and mid table.

You are the most tedious troll on the whole board. At least ppf is unintentionally funny.

Like many of the gimps on here, we will do well to stay up. That will be our biggest achievement under this current clown.
I have us going down with Norwich and Watford

Wow. You are hard to please!

I debated this on a number occasions. Scroll back in my history posts. Not going to keep banging on how poor Potter is tactically.

You cannot win an argument/debate by saying “I don’t agree”. So if you cannot back up your point then don’t bother entering it.

I’m very pro Graham Potter, so the following is not “trolling” or similar.

My only wish would be that GP adjusts our defensive set up. I get it, that we’re a far better offensive unit now, but:

1. Leaving 40% of the pitch free for counter attackers to destroy us eg Manu A, Manc A & LCFC H. Guardiola praised our approach to the game ... no wonder. Pushing up en masse against far superior teams with pace, will invariably end in tears.
2. A small detail - always leave at least one exceptionally pacey player, with a team mate, in the centre circle when we have a corner. That’s been the way in football for decades. So naive against LCFC.

Potter’s innovative and clever, I expect he will adjust tactics.

We're currently 12th in case you hadn't noticed. I'm starting to think you just do this for attention.

We are also level Giraffes 40 point tracker, and 12th out of 14th in 'the other 14 table', 3 points behind their tracker.

Of course the Table is very tight at the moment and we should improve over the season.

In our two previous seasons in the Premier League, 9 wins a year or 1 win per month, has kept us up. We're on for that so far with 4 wins from the opening 4 months of this season so am confident we'll be ok. Predicted 16th at the start of the season and would be well happy with that come May.

On NSC for over two decades...
For some reason the title of this thread put me in mind of the Big Four who pushed for the creation of the Premier League - Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton.

How times change.

Once arsenal are out the way we would’ve played 5 of the top 6 (recognised) away from home. Mr potters tactics against some of the lesser clubs should be easier to judge. Half a season in the other clubs around us would’ve analysed our style and hopefully we are still ahead of the game. I’m Confident we’ll finish between 8-13th which would be a fabulous starting point under gp and something really positive to build on for the future.

What say you?

Well it’s a bad thing. Our home games have been against the weaker opposition so second half of the season will be far more difficult.

Can't talk politics without the thread getting vicious, can't talk Albion without spence coming in and shitting all over the floor.

Brilliant.

But whereas the politics threads lay bare the rifts in society, the Albion threads unite NSC against Spence's utter Wummery.

Forget that – we've all made the same mistake before (albeit under a different manager) about predicting final places when even half the season is done. Talk of a top-half finish – or even mid-table – is a bit premature, I think.

For me, it's one game at a time and enjoy the ride

Spence didn't get enough cuddles so now takes it out on the Albion faithful. He/she brings nothing to the debate. He/she is a troll who I believe is not a well person. I've never done an ignore on any posters but I would happily do one on him/her. Shortly after joining NSC I got a short ban for being 'unduly irritating'. Exactly what he/she is.
