I believe Bolton were indeed in the running to sign him but we pipped them to it.

Just read that they've lost something like five out of six.

Then again Leeds had won five out of six, so what does that really mean? :)

Absolutely nothing if we beat them both!

A thread to complement one of our players, a small typo, thread derailed and Kayal forgotten. Not that I want to go against the tide.

I'd like to compliment you on your own small typo too. Standards must be maintained, eh?

Er, I haven't made a typo. Which means I've made a spelling mistake and I'm too stupid to know what it is. What have I got wrong?

sshh (compliment not complement)
Oh god, Goldstone even pointed it out to me, and I still couldn't see it. Fortunately, I don't think anyone noticed.

If you'd been talking about completing a team, ie a crew, you used the right spelling.
Yes, I realised that after you pointed out the mistake.

To be honest, I'm really surprised that the sail went through. Still, good of Paddy to flag it up...

I wonder if Neil Lennon, who must have managed Kayal for several years at Celtic, fancied bringing him to Bolton at any stage in proceedings?

Let's hope Beram shows him what he missed at the weekend.

I believe Bolton were indeed in the running to sign him but we pipped them to it.

Lennon (who originally took Kayal to Celtic) was indeed interested in signing him for Bolton, and tried to make a late bid for him, but the Israeli was already committed to joining the good guys - Albion faced competition from Bolton to sign Kayal
