At least it's the gun-toting right wing one.

And I have a Napalm Death tape in my loft somewhere. About 35 mina long and 60 odd "songs".

Can they technically be classified as songs?

I also saw Stormtroopers of Death once, Jeez that was hard work.

1986 Brighton Top Rank. 10 years of punk and we're still here. 1234 straight into Blitzkrieg Bop!

I was there.

The Ramones were the soundtrack to my youth - I still have the original T-shirt I bought at a gig in London ca.1979.

Joey's grave in New Jersey is the only dead pop star I have ever made a pilgrimage to visit (I haven't even bothered with Jim Morrison's) - unless you count the impromptu shrine to Johnny outside CBGB's that had appeared because by sad coincidence he'd died two days before my trip. And yes I did take a ride out to Rockaway Beach...

I do think they're very good, but i listened to the 'best of' the day and after about five songs they did all blend into one

exactly what my teenage daughters said ....told them they dont understand and that since 1976 the The Ramones were one of "The" bands.
as mentioned above the teeshirts do seem to be a fashion item

I saw them support U2 at Milton Keynes bowl back in 1985. They were excellent. Started every song 1.2.3.4 and then blast out songs that seamed to last about 30 seconds before starting again!!!

Great stuff

I can only assume that Ramones t-shirts are cheaper than ones that say 'I am a C U N T' judging by the specimens that wear them.

I do find it a bit odd that all the kids who wear them are too young ever to have seen them or have any idea what the music meant at the time. It's a bit like me dressing up as Bill Haley - I can appreciate how he was important to the kids of that day, but he means f*** all to me personally.
