Class. I remember buying that first album, it was on the same day that Brighton played West Brom in the League Cup and Wardy scored 2 (and Willie Johnson was sent off). I think I bored everyone in the car by saying how good the album was.
I spent some time chatting to Joey Ramone at a Clash post-gig party (he says, name dropping shamelessly). Nice guy but not very with it - or totally stoned.
1986 Brighton Top Rank. 10 years of punk and we're still here. 1234 straight into Blitzkrieg Bop!
Also saw a really top tribute band called 'Havanna a Go Go' down the Komedia last Christmas who were bloody good. Also recently bought a DVD off play.com really cheap that had footage from 75 when they used to play CBGBs in New York and love their version of wonderful world at the end of 'Bowling for Columbine!'. Not everyones cup of tea but for me they were up there with the best!
