No, I think the point is that the Queen is obviously a Brighton fan. I'm sure I saw her at Millwall.

Although, as regards garnering respect for the title of 'Queen', if she came to Brighton she'd be a much smaller fish in a bigger pond.

Not many Nazis around, mind.

Well primary schools were full of Nazis then.

Looks just like the same thing every school kid did when they put their hand up to answer a question.

She was six. When I was six my uncle took a picture of me in a West ham shirt.

Ridiculous thread. It was her Uncle not her Father and he went to Germany and met with Hitler, sympathiser or not he had an 'unhealthy' fascination.

I'd be more interested to know how The Sun obtained the pictures.

Just watched a Sky News presenter lecturing The Sun's chief editor(creep) about their conduct in relation to running this story. Bizarre.

Regardless of whether she did or didn't, she looks about six years old and couldn't possibly understand the symbolism or ramifications of her actions.

If I saw any six year old child making a nazi salute I wouldn't judge the child but I would judge the parents.

That would make the Argus though.

Wouldn't happen in Germany

You use of the word "taught" implies some degree of approval. It may simply be that in the 30s, this would have been seen on newsreels and the parents were showing her what it was. It is quite unlikely that the royal family was full of Nazi sympathisers.
