I have no problem with someone proposing this motion,it should be open to democratic debate

All the interested parties on this issue have to do now is run an election campaign promising the abolition of our constitutional Monarchy as a manifesto promise, get themselves elected into power ,get the bills passed through parliament and bobs your uncle.Or they could get elected with a majority and push for a referendum act passing both houses and let the public decide.

I look forward to watching the fortunes of the political party and its leader that has the stomach for this sort of fight and placing this proposal front and centre to the electorate.

most of this dribbling pensioners tickets for this one off event amongst many other events are going to 600 charities and organisations associated with the Queen like Bernados and the Red Cross

All surplus money raised will go into a charity fund.

the cost of the event will be subsidised by corporations including Boots, BT, Pimms, M&S and Unilever.

If you give to charity you can get the Vat segment negated and also a government contribution

I'll second that.

We find it hard enough to elect a flaming government let alone a head of state. I'm all for keeping Brenda and focusing on things that matter. I'm no dyed in the wool royalist, but certainly no republican either.
